Letter from the Executive Director
|
Dear Friends of Mary Crane Center,
Happy Holidays!
As a part of our family, we wish you a season of peace, joy, good health and gratitude. We are grateful for you.
At 110 years of service, one might say we are old. But Mary Crane knows that Early Childhood Development never ages – we grow and continue to learn and evolve through and with the families of today.

Tiara enrolled her son at Mary Crane at a time in their family’s life when they were homeless. Tiara did not have a job and Jasmin needed extra support in school. Mary Crane Center welcomed Tiara and Jasmin, and our Family Workers, Dessiree and Markita, provided employment, housing, school and medical resources. And then, the most wonderful opportunity arose, and Tiara became employed by Mary Crane!

Omolade, Omojuwura and Zion

Omolade is the young mother of two children, Omojuwura, 1 year old, and Zion, who will be 4 in January. Zion is a student in one of the preschool classrooms at Mary Crane’s Rogers Park Early Childhood Development Center. Omolade quickly expressed interest in becoming a Mary Crane employee, and now, she is!

Both William and Somaya attended Mary Crane from three years of age until transitioning to kindergarten. As a parent, Araceli applied for a position as a Paraprofessional with Mary Crane, with the responsibility for caring for some of our most vulnerable children at our Rogers Park Early Childhood Development Center.
