Go Purple with CCS!
This October, Center for Community Solutions joins local, state, and national movements to increase awareness surrounding relationship violence. This violence does not discriminate, and touches each and every one of us. There are many ways to drive awareness, take action, and create social change.
Join us this Thursday, October 24, for Purple Thursday -- a day to honor and support survivors of domestic violence. CCS invites YOU to join the movement by wearing purple on the 24th and help champion an end to this violence.
Here's how to get involved:
- Tell Us Why. Download your own "I Stand Up Against Domestic Violence" graphic and tell us why you're going purple with CCS. Graphic is available to download in both English and Spanish.
- Get Social With Us! Post a photo of you and your friends/family/colleagues wearing purple and tag CCS on Facebook (@centerforcommunitysolutions), Instagram and Twitter (@ccs_sd). Don't forget the #hashtags! Suggestions include: #DVAM #PurpleThursday #StartTheConvo #CCSSD
- Share Your Photos. You may also email photos to firstname.lastname@example.org to be included in CCS' social media posts promoting Purple Thursday. Please submit photos to Sheila Hancock by 12:00 PM on the 24th for inclusion.
