Happy fall! Welcome autumn!

As we move from the warmth of summer to the chill of autumn, we move into a time of transformation. For me, autumn brings thoughts of change, mystery, balance, and preservation. It is the idea of change and transformation that draws deeper meaning to the conversion story of St. Matthew. On Saturday, September 21, we celebrated the Feast of St. Matthew (Matthew 9:9-13) and the gospel reading of the day told of his conversion. Jesus called Matthew to his conversion by simply saying, “Follow me.” We are all called to do the same. We are called to walk with Jesus and by doing so we are called to grace. By accepting his call, we can live a life through Christ.

You may be asking yourself how does transformation and conversion relate to the daily work of high school. As your daughter faces the challenges and opportunities of her high school career, you will see her transform and blossom. This time of year reminds me that the 393 young women who will spend 720 days with her Rosary family are each called to a state of grace. The faculty and staff are each called to assist them on this incredible journey. We are called to partner with you to make their high school experience meaningful and memorable. I hope you can join Mr. Basford and me on Thursday, September 26th at 8 a.m. at a coffee chat to further discuss how we can partner to help transform your daughter. Together, we can empower each young woman to be a servant leader led by her faith and ready to change our world for the better.
