EOA ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS
The EOA Water Assistance Program allows a one-time payment of up to $100 to be made toward a past due water utility bill for low-income customers of Springdale Water Utilities, Fayetteville Water, and Tontitown Water. Lack of access to water is considered a health and safety risk, especially during a public health crisis. As a result, EOA is directing a portion of Community Services Block Grant CARES Act funds toward water utility assistance for income-eligible households with a past due water bill or disconnect notice from a participating water utility supplier. Visit www.eoawc.org to apply for assistance.
September Activities
We have had a busy month working hard to keep our children and families safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our teachers and support staff are amazing!
Here is a snapshot of just a few of our activities last month:

These PreK kiddos at the Pat Walker Center for Children enjoyed watching the construction machines install the new shade structure on one of the playgrounds.
These three boys at our Ivory Conley center appear to have been having a great discussion over their group collage project
Our Early Head Start students at the Oak Center love to read!
Reading daily to young children, starting in infancy, can help with language acquisition and literacy skills. It stimulates the part of the brain that allows them to understand the meaning of language and helps build key language, literacy, and social skills.

The Junior League of Northwest Arkansas donated new markers, paint, and play doh to the Pat Walker Center for Children.

Also, earlier this month the members of JLNWA cleaned up our garden at the center for the winter.

Thank you for your hard work on the garden project and for the wonderful new art supplies.

We appreciate your partnership!
The children at the Pat Walker Center finished up the "All About Me" unit by making life-sized portraits of themselves. The kids enjoyed choosing different materials to personalize their project!
A huge THANK YOU to Procter & Gamble for the wonderful donation of diapers, wipes, and laundry detergent.
We appreciate your continued partnership and support of EOA!

Our sweet students at the North Street location enjoyed the weather while playing in water!

Water Play is both enjoyable and educational. It helps children develop eye-hand coordination and math and science concepts.
One of the classrooms at our Oak center retold the story of "Little Blue and Little Yellow" using paint. The story and project opened up a conversation about the importance of friendship.
Our Ellen Smith center kiddos worked on enhancing fine motor skills while learning letters and mixing paint colors.
