We believe in equipping our teachers to be the very best!
It is my goal to keep you informed- good, bad, and indifferent!

Do you have feed forward information for me... email me:

I am only as good as the support you give! Want to see something different at your school, want to give shout outs to a teacher- let me know! I send these memos out because I believe in our community. I want to know how we can continue to grow! With love to you all!
Ms. Askew-Newhouse and her choir students at the SCS Arts Fest where they participated in the Honor's Choir! Although it is our first year to have a Choir, they are already making us proud! #MustangsSing
Out of Uniform Pass for
Monday, April 15th
if you come to the Teach IN
on April 11th!!
We’re hosting a Facing History Teach-in at East on April 11th at 5:30pm. Student leaders will lead us in a discussion about creating momentum for social change and strategies to use when faced with an injustice.

We need your support!

Facing History caters Girabaldi’s for the event. That’s right- come support our student leaders and feed your family for free! Please consider coming with your East student and entire family. We’d love to have a multi-generational crowd; that is part of the magic of such discussions!

Many teachers will be offering extra credit for students who attend and bring an adult.

Spotlight of the Week
Mr. Theoplias Benson
I live by this quote, “I don’t teach for a test, I teach for life!, I live teaching as my doing, and it has AMPLIFIED the my knowledge.” I began in more informal learning environments through one on one education. Then I moved into more formal settings such as teaching inmates while incarcerated and in schools. I have a broad range of teaching experiences from middle school through Graduate school within face-to-face, blended, and online teaching environments in public, private and charter schools.

The BEST students deserve the BEST Teachers... we are waiting for you next year!

Welcome, Incoming Freshmen!
