Inclusive Internships
Undocumented Student Services (USS) Mentors
Are you passionate about giving back to your community? Become a USS Mentor and help first-year frosh and transfer undocumented students transition smoothly to UC Santa Cruz. This is an inclusive internship opportunity that does not require work authorization.

Employment Opportunities
EOP Peer Advising Leaders (PALs)
PALs are current undergraduate students that provide academic, career, and social support to EOP students at the University of California, Santa Cruz. PALs connect with students one-on-one to address individual questions during drop-in hours, facilitate group discussions during workshops, and connect students to resources by collaborating across campus with programs and services designed to retain and graduate students from diverse backgrounds.

EOP Black Men's Initiative (BMI) Peer Mentor
BMI Mentors holistically support one of UCSC's scarcest student populations: African, Black, Caribbean (ABC) men. Providing these students a network of support is vital for their wellbeing, retention, and success. Please apply if you have a desire to mentor ABC men during their first year at UCSC!

EOP Website & Marketing Intern
The Website and Marketing Intern helps to support EOP by updating our website to promote our programs and services to various stakeholders. They include current/ prospective students, alumni, parents and on/off campus partners. The student in this role also helps to create marketing materials such as flyers and sits on the EOP Marketing and Digital Engagement Committee.

EOP Graduate Information Assistant (GIA)
Students will work with the Graduate Information Program which is designed to encourage EOP students to begin preparing for educational opportunities beyond the bachelor's degree. The program is made up of Graduate Information Assistants (GIA’s) who host workshops on graduate school and the application process such as the required exams, letters of recommendation, statement of purpose, and personal statement.

EOP Wellness Intern
Wellness interns work directly with the EOP Wellness Program which focuses on increasing EOP student participation in athletic and recreational activities. Wellness interns coordinate and facilitate workshops on various wellness-related topics and collaborate with campus partners. They create biweekly newsletters to share resources to EOP students and provide administrative support to the Wellness Program Coordinator.

EOP Admin Receptionist
The EOP Administrative Receptionist is the first point of contact for UCSC-EOP students when they visit the Educational Opportunity Programs office or call the main phone line. All employees are required to contribute to a welcoming environment for all EOP students and have excellent public speaking skills.

EOP Textbook Lending Library Assistant
EOP Textbook Lending Library is designed to assist students in obtaining required materials that would otherwise not be attainable due to cost. The Textbook Lending Library Assisting Intern will serve as a support and aid for the Textbook Lending Library Co-Leads in providing student’s materials in a quick and efficient manner.
