This photo shows an example of a leachate pumping system utilizing solar panels, battery array, and a DC to AC power inverter. The solar panel/battery system provides enough power to operate pump and controls to transfer leachate from the landfill sump/riser to an adjacent storage tank. The control panel is also equipped with a connection for generator provided power as backup.
