Over 900 job seekers gathered at the Prince George’s Sports & Learning Complex on November 6 for the We Elevate Our Own Job & Resource Fair—a day filled with connection, opportunity, and support.
Hosted by County Executive Aisha N. Braveboy, Employ Prince George’s, and valued partners, the event united over 50 employers and community organizations to provide job opportunities, critical resources, and a community food drive—helping residents move forward with hope and purpose.

On November 12, Employ Prince George’s celebrated the grand opening of our fifth American Job Center Job & Resource Lab—located inside the Kenhill Center in the City of Bowie!
Attendees had the opportunity to tour the facility, exploring the various amenities and services available.
Thank you to City of Bowie Mayor Tim Adams for offering a warm welcome and opening remarks. Our very own Alonzo Washington, Director, Strategic Partnerships shared insight on the impact of our Job & Resource Labs and EPG’s ongoing commitment to expanding opportunities throughout Prince George’s County.

We welcomed a steady flow of veterans, reservists, National Guard members, and military spouses at our Veterans Job & Resource Fair on November 20. Attendees had meaningful opportunities to connect with employers across multiple industries and showcase their skills.

Our Youth Career Connections team brought the community together for an inspiring screening of Roadtrip Nation’s “Paths Across Prince George’s County” series Screening and Networking Reception. The evening celebrated the journeys of Roadtrippers Henry, Kenia, and Maulana as they explored apprenticeships, certifications, and college pathways right here in Prince George’s County.
State Senators Jim Rosapepe and Cory McCray delivered motivating messages about purpose, opportunity, and the power of local leadership—setting an uplifting tone for the evening. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating the future of Prince George's County’s young talent.

After a year of mass layoffs and uncertainty, 2026 could stabilize hiring trends and bring equilibrium to the U.S. labor market, according to a Nov. 18 report from HireQuest.
In particular, the job market appears to be stabilizing around skills-based hiring, the report found. In addition, late 2025 layoffs could reset — but not reverse — the market, as well as spur employee reskilling and contract-based hiring.
