Newly Opened American Job Center Job & Resource Lab - City of Greenbelt
December 4 marked an exciting milestone with the grand opening of the sixth American Job Center Job & Resource Lab at Beltway Plaza in the City of Greenbelt. The event drew a steady flow of attendees eager to explore the new space and discover the wide range of resources designed to support career growth and community success.
Guests enjoyed guided tours of the facility, highlighting the Lab’s innovative amenities and comprehensive services available to job seekers and residents.
We extend our sincere thanks to the City of Greenbelt Mayor Emmett Jordan for the warm welcome and inspiring opening remarks and Founder & Executive Director Shaymar Higgs, The Space “Free Art for All,” for sharing heartfelt appreciation for the strong partnerships and collaboration that continue to uplift community members. Our Interim President & CEO, Jeffrey Swilley, also spoke about the meaningful impact of the Job & Resource Labs and EPG’s continued commitment to expanding access to opportunity throughout the community.

On December 13, our Community Development and Youth Career Connections (YCC) team were excited to host a resource table at the Prince George’s County Department of Social Services Holiday Celebration. We had the opportunity to connect with families and share information about the impactful programs and services offered through Employ Prince George’s.
The afternoon was filled with holiday cheer as families received toys for children, accessed valuable resources for parents, and enjoyed a festive celebration at Thomas Pullen Creative and Performing Arts School. We are grateful to be part of a community that comes together to support and uplift families during the holiday season.
