As we step into the month of May, we not only celebrate spring’s growth but also reflect on the continued growth and resilience of our Prince George’s County workforce. This is a time to recognize the incredible strides our residents are making toward meaningful careers.
This month, we want to recognize:

Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month - We celebrate and recognize the rich history and culture of these communities and their significant impact on American society. Our Career Pathways for All Program (CPFA), embodies this spirit as a free, inclusive workforce development initiative. With a focus on equity and access, CPFA strives to eliminate barriers such as language and cultural differences, empowering immigrants and refugees to engage fully in our local workforce.
-
Graduation Season – With many students entering the job market, our Youth Career Connections (YCC) and Knowlege Equals Youth Success (KEYS) programs can inspire and equip the next generation of workers. Calling All 16–24-year-olds in need of employment, training and resources! Don't miss out on the upcoming Career Takeover: Level Up Your Future happening on May 22 at the Southern Regional Technology and Recreation Complex at 3pm. An event filled with life-changing opportunities, meaningful connections, and unstoppable community support, where we empower our youth to level up their potential and pave the way for their extraordinary success!
