EPHS Weekly is a weekly email communication for families that is sent every Monday morning.
It is intended to provide families updates on important happenings in our school.
Previous messages can be accessed from this page of the high school website.
EPHS Students have access through the Daily Bulletin.
Hello EPHS Families,

As we head into our third full week together, we want to ensure each parent/guardian knows how to connect with our student support team members. Our support teams strive for each of our students to authentically belong at school, to have the support to push outside of their comfort zone to prove to themselves that they “can do it.” This summary doc provides a convenient summary we suggest you keep handy this school year.

More than anything, please know that we are here to help and look forward to connecting with you this year!

Meg Bennett, Associate Principal
Robb Virgin, Principal

EP CONNECTS ON 10.4
Our first EP Connects is next Monday, October 4 at 7:00 pm. You can join us in the auditorium, watch the livestream, or access the recording (link). We’ll do these on the first Monday of each month on a timely topic. The premier is titled, “EPHS 101.” Principal Robb Virgin and Associate Principal Meg Bennett will use the first 30 minutes to to cover a wide variety of topics ranging from how our new schedule works to school lunches to attendance expectations. This will be an “inch deep and mile wide” type of presentation. The second 30 minutes will be for question & answer. One way or the other, we hope to see you next Monday!

STAFF APPRECIATION DONATIONS NEEDED
If you already donated – thank you! With the first conferences coming up quick, we want to show teachers and staff how much we appreciate all their hard work! This year, we’ll have a special treat – free chair massages courtesy of EverHealth Chiropractic. We’ll also serve some goodies to go along with the massages – but we need your help! Please consider a cash donation through PayPal at http://ephspto.org/staff-appreciation/ or send a check (made out to EPHS PTO) to the school by mail or with your student (dropped at South Entrance Office; attention PTO).

DEADLINE TODAY: ORDER YOUR STUDENT DIRECTORIES
$8 each – order and pay online at http://ephspto.org/student-directories/
Student (family) directories are a printed directory that includes a listing of public, District-collected data with high school students’ and their parent/guardian names, addresses and phone numbers (unless families opt out of providing this information to the District). It is handy to have – especially for freshmen (much of the information stays the same over the years), and again as seniors as you are putting together plans for graduation, parties, etc. Please order by September 27th so we can print the right number. Thank you!

WHAT I WISH I KNEW ABOUT COLLEGE PLANNING – PARENT PANEL
Tuesday, October 12th 7:00 p.m., online event. Don’t miss this popular discussion with experienced parents addressing everything from the college application process to what size dorm sheets to buy and all of the hurdles in between. We’ll also hear from high school counselors about some key college-prep items. We’ll cover many helpful topics and have time for questions and answers. This is a great meeting for parents of juniors and seniors. Watch this newsletter, Facebook, or the PTO website for more information and meeting links.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
After a year + off from in-person classes and activities, teachers and staff are excited to have volunteers back in the school! Resources centers will be staffed with volunteers again this year (find more info on resources centers here), and other volunteer opportunities will come and go throughout the year. Please consider signing up to receive emails with more information and notifications when opportunities come up. See the SignUp Genius on our volunteer webpage. Thank you!
