A Message from the Principal

EPHS Families,

As we start Term 2 today, I am filled with energy about new beginnings and what is to come. I’ve heard from some students and families that now that we’ve settled into the year, new questions and wonderings have come up. To help with that, I want to re-share two resources with you as well as invite you to a virtual event on Monday, December 6.

  • “EPHS 101” re-share. Meg Bennett, Associate Principal, and I gave this presentation early in the year. It provides a high overview of how we do things here at EPHS. I encourage you to check it out.
  • Who are “my people” at EPHS? Check out our EPHS Student Support Teams.
  • EPHS Orientation 2.0 on December 6 at 7:00 on Zoom. Our December installment of EP Connects will have an “orientation” feel. It will be led by EPHS counselors and principals. All are welcome, and families new to EPHS this year are highly-encouraged to attend. To help make the presentation meaningful and helpful, please share any questions or topics you would like to see included using this form.

Let me know if you have any questions on any of these items or feedback on what else might be helpful. I love hearing from you.

Thanks, all, and have a great week!

FREE ACT PREPARATION PLATFORM FOR ALL JUNIORS!
We are excited to announce this year all 11th grade students have access to a valuable resource called Methodize, provided by Eden Prairie Schools. It is loaded with questions, training and two full ACT tests with immediate results! Your junior should have set up access to their account during Connections class in October. Ask your student if they have completed this process. If they have not yet connected to Methodize it is posted at the top of their grade 11 Schoology page with step by step directions.

All Juniors will go through training on November 30, 2021 in Connections for a deeper dive. They will learn more about the function and use of the site with our Methodize representative virtually.
Again, this is up and running and is accessible at your student’s convenience to be prepared for our scheduled ACT test on March 8th, 2022.

Additional information will be forthcoming to provide parents with learning sessions as well!
