After eight and half years of years working devotedly for Equine Rescue and Adoption Foundation (ERAF), Board President Denise LeClair-Robbins has announced her retirement.
A longtime supporter of the Palm City nonprofit, Ms. LeClair-Robbins joined the Board of Directors in 2014. During her tenure, she has overseen the tremendous growth of ERAF including the acquisition of the horse rescue’s current 17.5-acre location at 6400 SW Martin Highway and the adjacent property at 6450 SW Martin Highway, currently under development.
In her retirement statement, Ms. LeClair-Robbins, said, “I am proud of all we have accomplished over the years. We have rescued hundreds of horses and found them adoptive homes, forged community partnerships, promoted equine education and awareness, and achieved multiple industry accreditations.
I am looking forward to having time to take care of my health, travel to my bucket list places, find my golf game, ride my horses, and spend time with family and friends. I want to thank all of our ERAF family, our Board Members, staff, donors, and volunteers for your years of support. I will watch your continued accomplishments proudly and look forward to seeing you at future events.”
Vice President Elaine Hines will serve as interim Board President.
Founded in 2000, The Equine Rescue and Adoption Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit devoted to the rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption of at-risk equines. The Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers thank Ms. LeClair-Robbins for her generous contributions and years of dedicated commitment in service of our mission.
A retirement celebration will be announced at a later date.
