Emission Reduction and Mitigation Plan [ERAMP]

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), through the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), has awarded the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) federal funds to create the Emissions Reduction and Mitigation Plan (ERAMP).

Check out the ERAMP Fact Sheet (PDF)

The Emission Reduction and Mitigation Plan will include projects from across Kansas that help address two objectives:

  • Reducing ambient air pollution while supporting the creation of quality jobs and lowering energy costs for Kansans.
  • Accelerating work to empower community-driven solutions in their neighborhoods.

This series of meetings is vital to the success of ERAMP. We need state agencies, municipalities, regional planning organizations, nonprofit organizations, community groups, tribes, industries, businesses, and citizens to identify qualifying projects for your community.

Projects included in the final ERAMP will be eligible for federal funding in 2024.
