We are here to serve YOU, teachers and interpreters who work with our deaf or hard of hearing students across the state of Texas. We have a wealth of information at TexasDeafEd.org that includes lesson plans written specifically to support deaf and hard of hearing students, online and in-person Professional Development opportunities, online resources such as Transition, Mental Health for Deaf Youth, and digital family resources to serve families of deaf and hard of hearing students. We also provide opportunities for student involvement, such as Summer Camps and Programs, Discovery Retreat and our popular ASL Storytelling programs.

Our recent ASL Expressions program held during Deaf Awareness Week was a bi-product of that ASL Storytelling program. ASL entertainers performed before 200+ attendees and for more than 600 online viewers. Our Online Resources Team, who headed up this program, was recently recognized by the TSD’s school board for their work on this program. You can see some of the highlights and view the video on our website.
Stakeholders from all over gather at the State Capitol to advocate for the passage of HB 2255 which supports early intervention services for infants and toddlers.
Be sure to explore the rest of our website as well to find out more about what we offer teachers and students. You can also contact us by email at ercod@tsd.state.tx.us , by phone at 512-462-5329, or by videophone at 512-982-1646.
