We experienced another great day in the Lord this past Sunday! Six were added to our RP family at the 11:00 service: five upon profession of faith and one upon statement of faith. We were so excited to receive Frank and Vickie Bonano, Wade Miller, Madalynn Secondine, Dalton Shields, and Oceanna Holcomb. God is continuing to do great things in our midst. Please keep praying!

As we acknowledged our Armed Forces Veterans, we were blessed to have RADM (Ret.) Dr. Endel Lee as our guest speaker. I want to thank Anita and the Celebration Choir for the wonderful worship music. And to all of our veterans, thank you for your service!

And then, to cap off our day, Dr. Norris Grubbs, of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, taught a discipleship class on Bible Translations and the Canon. We will not have a discipleship class in December due to all the special Christmas programs and activities, but are looking forward to getting back on track January 7^th.

We are looking forward to a great time of fellowship on Wednesday evening, November 15^th, as we come together for our annual Thanksgiving Supper. If you have not already done so, please phone the church office NOW and give us a head count of how many will be attending with you. There is no cost for the meal, but we are asking everyone to bring a non-perishable item that will be donated to the Christian Care Ministry’s food pantry.

I also want to remind the men of our church that we have a men’s bible study fellowship and breakfast every Tuesday morning, 7:00 – 8:00am, in the Fellowship Hall. Please come join us and bring a guest!

On a final note, please don’t forget to get your shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child (A.K.A., Operation Shoe Box) turned in by next Sunday, November 12^th.
