From the Pastor

Thank you Roger Whitney and Amanda Cloy for the special music Sunday! And, thank you Praise Team for leading us in music worship! All of you were such a blessing!

As I write this, my heart is overflowing from our men’s Bible study, fellowship, and prayer time this morning. 23 men attended! There were others who didn’t make it due to work, vacation, or confusing AM with PM. So, next Tuesday we should have even more! We are meeting in the Fellowship Hall each Tuesday morning at 7:00AM. All men are invited – not restricted to RPBC members. Please help spread the word and feel free to bring your work or neighborhood friends.

The Loving Stitchers sewing ministry enjoyed a luncheon today (Tuesday) in recognition of their 20th anniversary. Mrs. Irlene Smith, the lone surviving charter member, and her daughter Deborah were the special guests. This wonderful ministry has donated thousands of sewn articles, from Christmas stockings to children’s clothes, to ministries, groups, hurricane victims, and schools. Last year they even provided boys and girls clothes to refugees of the Ukrainian invasion. All they provide is at no cost to the recipients. All of the costs are covered through donations received by the Loving Stitchers from individual donations. If you are interesting in being a part of this wonderful ministry, please contact Pam Rouleau at (601) 347-6414. Donations may be made through RPBC. Please designate your donations for “Loving Stitchers.”

Senior Adults (55+) – Don’t forget our day trip to The Cajun Village in Sorrento, Louisiana next Thursday, September 21st. We are leaving the church at 8:30am. Please contact Peggy Fore or call the church office if you have any questions.

Finally, the deacon eligibility list will be made available in the Sanctuary foyer this Sunday. Please pick up a copy so you can pray for God to guide you in your nomination selections. We will take time in both morning services on October 1st for deacon nominations.

You are Loved!
