Greetings!

ESABA salutes our nonprofit members responding to food insecurity in our community this week - our food shelves like Merrick, Sanneh Foundation, and Salvation Army have increased usage as have holiday food basket programs from Family Values for Life. Thanks for continuing to dig down. We're also grateful for entrepreneurs graduating from NDC's Plan It! Classes developing solid business plans around their hopes and goals and invite these excellent minority businesses to boldly join the fold on the East Side. Take your dollar out for Small Business Saturday this week and consider it a first shot for when we launch East Side Orbiter - 30 deals that will get you moving 'round the East Side. Then get ready to connect: Coffee with a Cop next Tuesday and East Side Connect! Thursday for online networking and a peek at one thorny issue - the current Labor Market. As we bid goodbye to Trashvember - we're grateful for reducing the waste and increasing the savings for our East Side members. Don't miss your chance at gratitude, savings, and grant money - that can also cover hauling costs: Less Trash, More Cash.

Small Business Revolution - Black Excellence in business right here on the East Side
MN Humanities Center Open House Dec 2 - RSVP this week by Nov 26

Join East Side Connect! to get a handle on the questions and concerns driving our current Labor market. Our businesses say their most valuable asset is their employees. And right now help seems hard to keep... and even harder to find! Rachel Speck of the East Side Employment xChange helps us look at what we know about Labor trends, what our own experience tells us about what is driving them, what employers can try to do to retain employees, and how the xChange is preparing to help in the new year.
Celebrating Black Excellence - Small Business Revolution airs their episode on the East Side with ESABA member ESNDC's Claire Thomas far left and Terrell Smith owner of Gentlemen's Cuts on Payne Ave far right. Hosts of the show Baron Davis and Amanda Brinkman at center. (photo Deluxe). Check out the episode and consider: what fantastic Black-owned businesses do you know that we should highlight on the East Side?
See our East Side Connect! Meeting on Youtube about this topic and get ready to give more input in this process.
Connect with Paris to see how you can combine the services of BizRecycling and our Preferred Hauler Deal to maximize savings on your solid waste bill. Nobody should be paying more than they need to. ESABA members, that means you. Click the BizRecycling logo below to learn more about how to get started.
