Happy first day of Spring! Are you enjoying the longer days? It's a good time to dust off your walking shoes and hit the trails.

But before you leave your desk to hit the hills, take a moment and reflect on our community. What stands out to you? Is there a business, organization, community project or entrepreneur that comes to mind? How have they impacted our economy and community?

Now tell us who you have in mind so that we can honor them at the next Escondido Chamber Annual Awards and Installation Dinner . The nomination form is easy to use and will only take only a few minutes to complete. While you are thinking about it, be sure to save June 15th .

As well as honoring the super stars in our community, the chamber will install the 2018-2019 Board of Directors. Our incoming Chairwoman of the Board, Kristen Steinke, has been interviewing potential board candidates, which we will send out as a slate of nominees in the next two weeks. The list is impressive and a good mixture of industries and talents. I look forward to sharing this with you soon.
