The rain did not keep people from attending the 2019 Escondido Chamber Open House. It was an exciting night! Special thanks to Kennedy's Meat Company, Vista Del Lago Memory Care, Sunnyside Kitchen, Fillipi's, Pala Casino Resort and Spa and The Lost Abbey for providing the food and libations.

Though there was a lot of networking naturally occuring, it is not always our main focus. Since the beginning of the year our members have already engaged in numerous ways:

Ambassador Committee - President Yessenia Mendoza launched the 2019 Ambassador Recruitment and planned the Member Connections strategy.

Government Affairs - Chair Christine Antoine led legislative update discussions and welcomed special guests Mayor Paul McNamara and Deputy Mayor Consuelo Martinez.

Economic Development - Chair Tom Stamos organized a panel of city department heads and developers for an overview of the myriad of projects in the works in downtown Escondido.

Education Committee - EUSD Superintendent Dr. Luis Ibarra, welcomed committee members from various segments of education for an open discussion and to plan the Education Highlight Speakers for 2019.

It is only the 16th of January, but there is much more to come this month:

Wake UP Escondido! - YES, an opportunity to NETWORK and discover resources for your business.

Coffee Exchange - Sponsored by AT&T, the chamber will host a casual conversation with special guest Mayor McNamara.

So when you think about getting involved in a business organization, look beyond the networking. The Escondido Chamber of Commerce offers a variety of ways to get known, get knowledge and get connected.

Sincerely,
