I hope the new year is off to great start for everyone. It seems like everyone I
talk to is as busy as ever and I am no exception.
I had the utmost pleasure of joining Mayor McNamara, Deputy Mayor
Martinez, community leaders and members at the Mayor's Roundtable last
month. The conversation was engaging and thought provoking. I left feeling
energized and excited for this next chapter in our great City, which is sure to
include a practical plan for positive growth. One topic of conversation that
resonated with me is the outstanding diversity of our City, its business
community, its educational institutions and its population. The growth and
positive change our City is experiencing should be celebrated because, as we
all know, Escondido is a great place to be.
The Chamber's membership mirrors the diversity of Escondido's business
community and welcomes all that share in its interest of making Escondido
the best place to do business around. The Chamber continues to be a leader
in this community through its close community ties and attention to policies
that benefit its members.
We hope you will join us at the 2019 State of the City Address on February 27,
2019 where you are sure to hear from your elected officials on what is next for
this great City.
I hope to see you soon!
Sincerely,
Kristen Steinke
Chairwoman of the Board

February is Brewing Month in
San Diego County
Recognizing the growing significance of the region's craft beer and coffee roasting industries, the San Diego County Water Authority's Board of Directors has declared February to be Brewing Month in San Diego County.
As part of the monthlong promotion, Cafe Moto - one of the oldest and largest local coffee roasters - developed Authority 1944 Blend, which celebrates the Water Authority's formation 75 years ago.
Cafe Moto and the Water Authority are providing coffee service at approximately 30 meetings of local civic and business leaders during February to spark conversations about the value of safe and reliable water supplies for San Diego County's economy and quality of life.

Escondido to Hold Monthly "Meet The Mayor" Community Meetings
Beginning this month, Escondido's new mayor, Paul "Mac" McNamara, will hold a series of monthly community meetings in different locations throughout Escondido. The meetings are an opportunity for residents, business owners and other members of the Escondido community to meet the new mayor in an informal setting. "I really look forward to meeting the residents of the city and hearing their ideas on how we can move forward as a community." said Mayor McNamara.
