Yes, this is the final weekly newsletter greeting that I will be writing to you. Each week I have pondered what to personally share and what will be important to your business. I have enjoyed writing hundreds of these short articles. However, today I am struggling with just the right words to say.
Six months ago, my husband and I made the difficult decision to move back to Tucson to be near his family and to ultimately reach our retirement goals. It is hard to leave my home state, but in the long run, we know that this is a good decision. If the California exodus continues, I suspect that we will have many of our friends joining us soon. Of course company will always be welcomed!
I'm not sure what I will do for my next career. The possibilities are endless. However, I will take the lessons learned at the chamber with me. I have enjoyed this journey and am looking forward to recreating myself for the next journey.
Today, I was asked about the memory that stands out the most to me. I have so many that I could not pick just one. But what I will treasure the most are the friendships made along the way.
Thus, I will not say "Goodbye"... but will instead say "Till we meet again!"

A's, B's & O's Disappearing From Major Brands - Red Cross Seeks Missing Types
Today, the American Red Cross launches the Missing Types campaign to raise awareness for lifesaving blood donations and urge the public to
make an appointment to give blood or
platelets this summer.
During the Missing Types campaign, the letters A, B and O - the letters representing the main blood groups - are disappearing from brands, social media pages, signs and websites to illustrate the critical role blood donors play in helping patients. When the letters A, B and O vanish from everyday life, the gaps are striking. And when A, B, O and AB blood types go missing from hospital shelves, patient care and medical treatments are affected.
Blood transfusion is the fourth most common inpatient hospital procedure in the U.S. Blood can only come from volunteer blood donors, yet only 3 out of 100 people in the U.S. give blood. That's simply not enough to help patients who need transfusions.
"Just last month, the Red Cross experienced a critical shortage of type O blood. When this happens, medical procedures could be delayed because blood products are not available," said Cliff Numark, senior vice president, Red Cross Blood Services. "That's why we are asking those eligible to help fill the missing types by making a donation appointment today. Don't wait for the letters A, B and O to go missing from hospital shelves again."

Little School & Former Employee Both Turn 100 Years Old in June
San Pasqual Union School turns 100 this year and the celebration being planned includes a special surprise for former students. The "Little School in the Valley" in Escondido has had many faculty and staff over the years, but only one staff member can say they served the school for over 70 years. Remarkably, that employee plans to attend the big shindig on June 22nd.
Jane Trussell, former teacher, principal, and superintendent of San Pasqual Union School District, is coincidentally also celebrating her 100th birthday in 2019, making the anniversary party a dual celebration. Trussell served the school from the 1940's until finally taking a break in 2010. The party for both the little school and for Mrs. Trussell will begin on Saturday, June 22nd from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
