The days are getting shorter, and Fall is in the air. Oh really? Today is probably one of the warmest days of the year. I reserve the word "hot" for any day that hits triple digits or more - kind of mild right now, or as I say just right.
I had the opportunity to meet with our Mayor this morning and to say the City has some exciting things going on here in Escondido is putting it mildly. The alignment with City Hall under the guidance of the City Council and your Mayor is exactly what your Chamber supports. Building a vibrant business community takes a vibrant and growing community; one cannot succeed without the other. The Chamber's goal is to help foster both.
Speaking of support, we need your help. The Chamber's annual golf tournament is nearing, mark your calendars for Friday, Septemeber 27th and join us for a fun day of golf and camaraderie. Details are available at Escondidochamber.org. We want to thank all of our supporters and our Title Sponsor Gosch Ford, as well as our Awards sponsor Escondido Disposal, Inc.
Sacramento has been working overtime as our elected officials push forward with new bills for submission to our Governor to sign; the deadline is September 13th. The Governor then has 30 days to sign or veto.
Please consider joining your Chamber as we continue to build on the role we play in making Escondido an even better place to live and work.
