Dear ESF Community,
We are pleased to share an update on planning for our May Commencement activities.
In order to meet state Covid guidelines and to allow some family participation, ESF will hold two commencement ceremonies, with students divided by academic department. The commencements will be held on May 15 at the St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater at Lakeview. Each graduate will able to invite two guests and substantial safety protocols will be in place. The ceremonies will also be recorded and broadcast on ESF TV for those unable to attend.
To comply with New York state health and safety guidelines, COVID testing within 72 hours of the event or a completed vaccine series by no later than May 1 will be required to attend.
This is the first public event to be held at the lakeside facility since the pandemic shut down last year and we are happy to be working with Onondaga County to allow our graduates to share this important milestone with family and friends.
We will be communicating much more information in the near future as details are finalized. However, I wanted to ensure people that commencement will take place so that they could begin to plan any necessary travel arrangements.
