For weekly worship, we average between 8 at our lowest and 15 at our highest. On special Sundays we have more. Through personal invitation and our Facebook and
website presence, we are receiving more visitors with 5 new guests just this month. Building the church in Europe and with busy/traveling internationals (and in a former Communist country) takes prayer, time and patience....and of course--
lots of coffee dates with new friends!

Devotions 'Unplugged!' |
We are a church..
so we share weekly devotions with Moms and Kids. The theme is usually tied to the reading of an English book and then a craft/game/video follows. This particular book is used weekly and was a gift from one of our Johnson City District pastors.

'Official' Libary Book Stamp! |
To date, we now have or 100 English Language Books for kids.
Each week, the kids find the books they want and check them out. The kids match the picture with the book (alphabetized too for older kids) when checking out their book.
Once they 'sign' their book (s) back in,
they can choose new ones!

Ministry with Church Campus University Students
In early 2010, the Czech District renovated an old pension on our church campus in order to provide affordable housing for students of all denomnations who profess faith Christ and are attending unversities in Prague. They have morning devotions 4 days a week
and Monday night worship service led by capable Czech pastors. But they also approached Gary and me fall 2011 with a desire for fellowship time to
practice the English... We LOVE these 'kids!' Makes us feel young again!
|
Gary and the Students on 'Wear Red' Night... One guess who forgot... |
So we meet Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m (20:00) in our newly renovated cafe!
Snacks are always part of the evening (of course)
Discussion of politics, practicing our faith in daily life
marriage, vocation, cultural differences/customs are common topics.
For fun, we play
Jenga, Twister, Tabu and Scattergories and watch
English Language films (mostly American films)
Wanna help with this ministry?
When we are home this summer, send us back with DVD's
as we need the disc for access to
English Language Subtitles.
