About the Program

This program will explore the legal nuances of branding in the esports industry and for influencers. This comprehensive session will cover critical topics including trademarks, licensing, online defamation, brand alignment, non-compete clauses, and social media. Hear from three industry experts who bring their different expertise and perspectives: an agent who specializes in sourcing and negotiating deals; an attorney who focuses on drafting and negotiating agreements; and an attorney who litigates resulting disputes. Gain a deeper understanding of the legal intricacies shaping esports branding and learn how to effectively navigate this rapidly evolving field.

This program is presented by the Entertainment Law section, chaired by Jeff Monahan and vice-chaired by Matthew Hobbs. The section is sponsored by Lawyers' Mutual Insurance Company. Find out more at www.bhba.org.
