The Great ETC Towel Off of 2020
Due to the crazy spring we're all having, we at ETC have decided to alter some of the details for our 2020 ETC Towel-Off. First off, we're extending the deadline to June 1st. The original 'anything goes' rules are still in place, but Madelyn van der Hoogt has raised the stakes!
We now have two categories of participation: a basic 'JUST WEAVE!' level and a stricter 'DESIGN A TOWEL' level. Any weaver at any skill level is welcome to enter their towels into either category.
For the JUST WEAVE category, the towels can be any number, any size, any design, any yarn ... anything goes! The weaver of the BEST towel in this category gets a $100 gift certificate to use at ETC!
For the DESIGN A TOWEL category, things get more complicated. We would like to turn the winning towel into a kit so that other weavers can recreate your magnificent design! That being the case, the entries need to follow some extra guidelines.
The weaver of the BEST towel in this category will win an all-expenses paid one-week trip to Madelyn van der Hoogt's Weavers' School (week I or II)!!

LIMITED TIME ONLY
ETC Dyed Yarns & Fibers
We have never been able to put our Janis-dyed yarns and fibers up online because it sells too fast in the store. Silver lining! No one is visiting the store, so we're putting some of our more popular items on our website. There are limited quantities of each colorway, first to check out gets it!

Brass Sley Hook
Our favorite sley hook is back! Made of brass, and stamped with Glimakra USA. One side has a small hook for threading, the other side has a large hook for sleying your reed. There is also a little hole for adding a hanging cord if you like.
Square Rulers & WPI
We have just added some sweet little wood tools to our line-up. We have 1" square and 2" square rulers: perfect for counting picks or stitches per inch.
The Wraps per Inch tool lets you estimate sett or needle gauge. It also has the common yarn thicknesses burned into the surface for a quick guess.
Used Books!
We are (slowly) adding some of our more interesting used books to the website. If there are any books you wish for, shoot us an email or give us a call!
