Spring Quarterly News Update

Let’s do this…ETED Members!

As we cruise (okay, maybe crawl) into the final stretch of the school year, we know the days feel like marathons, the to-do lists resemble ancient scrolls, and your coffee intake is approaching "should probably be studied by scientists" levels. But here's the thing—this is your season to shine.

Yes, while the energy may be low and the end of they school year chaos high, this is when we truly can make a difference and it really shows up in full technicolor glory. Students are locking in future plans, chasing down career dreams, and leaping boldly into the unknown like caffeinated superheroes—with you as their trusty sidekick (or, let’s be honest, their entire GPS system).

So hang in there, Engineering and Technical Education Division (ETED) Rockstars! The finish line is in sight, and your work is more powerful than ever.

Feel free to reach out to me at any time with comments, concerns, and/or suggestions.

Let’s do this!

Sincerely,

Snehal Bhakta

VP, ACTE Engineering and Technology Education Division

National Policy Seminar Update

The 2025 ACTE National Policy Seminar (NPS), was held on March 16–19 in Washington, DC. It was a powerful gathering of career and technical education (CTE) professionals focused on advocacy, policy, and elevating the voice of CTE at the national level.

The ETED Division was proud to be represented, and we were especially excited that our new professional Fellow, Emily Ruesch, attended her first official event in this role. Emily participated in leadership and advocacy training, engaged with ACTE leadership, and took part in Capitol Hill visits—bringing attention to the importance of ETED in shaping successful pathways for all learners.

Her participation is a great reminder of the value of emerging leaders within our division and the impact ETED professionals can have at both the state and federal levels.

Thank you to everyone who continues to represent ETED and advocate for the vital work we do in helping students explore, plan, and pursue their futures through CTE. In addition, we hope to see you at ACTE'S CareerTech VISION 2025, happening Dec. 912 in Nashville, Tennessee!
