Winter Quarterly Newsletter

Dear ACTE ETED Members,

As Vice President of the ACTE Engineering & Technology Education Division (ETED), I am excited to welcome you to a pivotal and inspiring moment for our division and for career and technical education (CTE) nationwide. Following the remarkable success of ACTE’s CareerTech VISION 2025, which welcomed more than 6,400 attendees in the largest conference in recent ACTE history and over 200 ETED members at our opening session, we find ourselves energized by what we’ve accomplished and motivated by the extraordinary opportunities ahead.

VISION 2025 highlighted the innovation, expertise, and leadership that engineering and technology educators bring to classrooms, labs, and learning environments across the country. The conversations, sessions, and connections made throughout the conference reinforced the essential role our field plays in preparing learners to thrive in a rapidly evolving, technology-driven workforce. The momentum generated at VISION will continue to shape our work, strengthen our partnerships, and elevate our impact for many years to come.

As we look ahead, 2026 marks ACTE’s Centennial Anniversary… a once-in-a-century opportunity to celebrate 100 years of connecting education and careers. This milestone is not simply a celebration of longevity, it is a powerful recognition of a century of innovation, advocacy, and transformation made possible by dedicated educators like you. The centennial invites us to honor the pioneers who laid our foundation, reflect on the progress we’ve made, and recommit ourselves to advancing engineering and technology education for future generations.

I encourage you to plan to join us for the Centennial Celebration at CareerTech VISION 2026, taking place Dec. 2–5 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

ETED has been… and will continue to be… a driving force within ACTE. I encourage you to stay involved, share your voice, and take part in the initiatives and celebrations that will showcase our collective achievements and help define the next century of CTE.

In July, we will welcome Ashley Adams, our next ETED Vice President. She is committed and dedicated to ACTE and to the division, and will continue to move all of us forward!

As I wrap up my final months of service as VP, I look forward to working alongside you as we continue build on our momentum and prepare for an exciting and impactful year ahead.

With appreciation for everything you do,

Snehal Bhakta

VP, ACTE Engineering and Technology Education Division
