2023 Dream Pitch Program

Training Program for Wards 7 and 8 resident-owned micro businesses

Apply by March 6, 2023

The Dream Pitch Program is an 8-week cohort-based training program for microbusinesses in Ward 7 and 8, culminating in the Dream Pitch Competition. The Dream Pitch Competition is an opportunity for participants to pitch their business to a panel of judges, showcasing the knowledge gained through the program resulting in a pitch award between $2000 to $7500.

SHE:DC MICROGRANT

3 Micro-Grants to scale your business

Apply by March 8, 2023

Three grants will be given during the last event of the 2023 SHE:DC month. The micro-grant will be granted women makers looking to further secure her standing in the market. She must be retail ready and have clear idea how the dollars can impact her growth. 

CRITERIA FOR APPLICANTS: 

• Must be woman-owned and operated.
• Must be a maker designing or making product in the in the DMV. 
• Must be minimally retail ready (social media and web presence and demonstrating success selling in the market).
• Must be in business for less than 3 years and not hold a lease on retail location.

Robust Retail 2023 Grant (DC)

The 2023 Robust Retail Citywide grant(s) support existing DC-based retail businesses in maintaining operations and viability during the current small business crisis. DSLBD intends to award up to $5,000 per business to approximately 100 businesses.
