ETS Teammates,
There has been lots of progress over the past few weeks to update you on. First, the team has conducted the first two of a series of site visits to El Paso, Texas, where we will open our second Texas enrollment site this April. Modeled after the example of the People First Center at Fort Hood, this second site is expected to enroll between 300 and 400 new servicemembers and families each month. Army leadership at Fort Bliss has embraced this initiative and been very supportive…so much so that we had our first 13 enrollments last week, two months ahead of schedule! Our partners in San Diego and Los Angeles are also working hard, spreading the word about the ETS program, raising sponsors, and connecting us to the leadership of the Navy and Marine Corps bases in the state. Our New York partners also remain very active, with regular visits to Fort Drum and a steady stream of folks signing up there as well.
It isn’t all about enrollment, however. Each of our CICs is consistently receiving high marks from our new Veterans, who are sincerely grateful for the support they are receiving in this difficult transition. We will continue to highlight their comments on our social media channels, but I wanted to thank you all personally for the hard work you are doing.
Nor are your efforts going unnoticed. A number of new States and organizations have reached out seeking information about participating in the ETS program, and we are working hard to bring them into the network. As our enrollment numbers build to an expected 2000 per month within the next year, the demand for caring services and a positive reception into the community will only be met by bringing additional like-minded organizations onto the team. I am happy to take your recommendations based on your own professional networks and experience.
On the technology side, we are very close to releasing our self-guided dashboards for beta testing. This will begin the shift to the Onward Ops branding, and we will be rolling out a campaign to explain this change to all of our CICs and sponsors. With the delivery of improved dashboards, a new homepage, and a streamlined signup process, my goal is to broaden the appeal of the program to all the military services while making it crystal clear why a servicemember should want to participate.
In the meantime, we are releasing: updated notes functions on the dashboards to securely share information between enrollees, sponsors, and CICs; an easy way for CICs to add events of importance to the dashboard; and a range of smaller fixes to address some of the recommendations we have received from our users.
As always, thank you for all that you do.

NYC DVS Big Apple TAP Virtual Session
The ETS Sponsorship Program recently participated in The New York City Department of Veterans' Services Transition Assistance Program for recently separated service members who plan to relocate to the Big Apple. The information session served as an introduction to their agency and highlighted how they could serve as a resource for transitioning Service Members and their families during their transition and beyond. The following organizations were included: NYC DVS, Columbia University's Center for Veteran Transition and Integration, Human Resiliency Institute at Fordham University (Edge4Vets), VA Bronx Healthcare, NY Harbor Healthcare System, and The ETS Sponsorship Program.
We are excited to partner with CollegeRecon, a military and education resource that empowers service members, Veterans, and their families through education and tuition assistance program information to provide best-in-class information as they pursue their educational goals in civilian life. The official announcement can be found HERE.
Our enrolled Service Members can access College Recon directly from their Service Member dashboard. By clicking the 'Education' tab, they can personalize their College Recon profile and begin using the education resource.

Within its Veteran Sponsorship Initiative (VSI), the VA Transitioning Servicemember/Veteran And Suicide Prevention Center (TASC) provides manualized certification training to sponsors who are associated with community partners that have an active VA memorandum of agreement with the VA National Center for Healthcare Advancement and Partnership. The TASC coordinates with Teachers College, Columbia University, for the execution of the sponsorship training. The TASC also conducts research and program evaluation of the public-private partnership that exists between the VA, DOD, ETS Sponsorship (nonprofit), local community partners, and other entities. The TASC assists in the creation and evaluation of innovative efforts to help to transition Veterans' access to VA care and benefits.
