EU trade deal: Duty-free olive oil exports, Kalamata GI use rights retained

Australian olive oil exports will soon enter the European Union duty-free, under a landmark trade agreement reached this week.


Protections and usage conditions for a range of geographical indications (GIs) such as “Kalamata” will also be introduced, with Australian producers able to continue their use under specific provisos.

Agriculture Victoria Partnerships Against Pests: Grant applications open now


The final round of the Partnerships Against Pests grant program is now open.


Applicants can apply for grants of between $10,000 and $50,000 to deliver projects over a 12-month period.
