EURASHE30: CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS EXTENDED
EURASHE together with its member the University of Agribusiness and Rural Development (UARD) will organise its 30th Annual Conference "Professional Higher Education and sustainable development: creating a change that endures" on 20-21 May 2020 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria .

The Conference will be structured along the five pillars of Agenda 2030: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership and will invite practitioners, policy makers, business representatives and students to discuss how professional higher education could successfully contribute to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) .

EURASHE welcomes three types of contributions:
  • Breakout sessions;
  • Good practice examples;
  • Brilliant failures.

The deadline to submit your proposal has been extended to Friday 14 February 2020 .


EURASHE INVITES TO THE ROUNDTABLE ON UNIVERSITIES OF APPLIED SCIENCES AND REGIONAL ENGAGEMENT
EURASHE is organising the Roundtable "Regional engagement of Universities of Applied Sciences: concept and impact" on 13 February 2020 in Brussels, Belgium.
 
Universities of Applied Sciences – hereafter UAS – play an important role in fostering European competitiveness and innovation capacity. This is particularly true at the local level, where PHE institutions often act as a hub between local SMEs, administrative bodies and civil society.

The Roundtable will bring together experts and professional from European and international institutions, projects, networks and higher education institutions with an interest in the “Third Mission of University”, in order to learn from their experience and develop a clear understanding of the concept and impact of the regional engagement of UAS. .

The discussion between participants will benefit from the various experiences of the Joint Research Centre (JRC), the OECD, and representatives of the European funded HEInnovate project. 

The event is free of charge but the places are limited.

EURASHE, together with its partners from UAS4EUROPE , will organise its Croissant Event " UAS4EUROPE: UAS go for Horizon Europe!", which will take place on 24 March 2020 at the Permanent Representation of Austria to the EU in Brussels, Belgium .

FINNISH LEARNING COMMUNITY EDUFUTURA JYVÄSKYLÄ IS LOOKING FOR NEW PARTNERS
EduFutura Jyväskylä is a learning, research, and development community founded by EURASHE member JAMK University of Applied Sciences, together with Jyväskylä Educational Consortium Gradia and the   University of Jyväskylä, which aims to search for learning solutions of the future and to create diverse opportunities for students to pursue flexible and individual study paths.

The EduFutura Jyväskylä as a centre of excellence forms a unique partnership in learning, research, development, experimentation and application related to the leading-edge fields in the area.

Although co-operation activities between three organizations has been carried out for decades, the EduFutura model is quite new, only four years old, and it is constantly seeking to get to know similar entities and collaborative consortiums and, therefore, benchmark experiences, results and processes from other parts of Europe and beyond. 

INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS COLLEGE MITROVICA (IBC-M) ORGANISES CONFERENCE ON THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL APPROACHES TO EDUCATION
EURASHE member International Business College Mitrovica ( IBC-M ), with 11 partners under the ERASMUS+ Capacity Building Program, is organizing the second  Scientific International Conference  2020 "Theory to Practice as a Cognitive, Educational and Social Challenge", which will take place on 15-16 June 2020 at the IBC-M campus in Mitrovica, Kosovo .

The event will bring together a variety of experts from the region and beyond to present current research and cases, which address the topic of theoretical and practical approaches, particularly as it is relevant to the challenges of the Western Balkan region and beyond.

Experts and practitioners from the fields are invited to send their contributions by 15 February 2020.

VILNIAUS KOLEGIJA/UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES INVITES YOU TO THE 2020 INTERNATIONAL (TEACHING) WEEK
EURASHE member Vilniaus Kolegija/University of Applied Sciences is organising the International (Teaching) Week on 2-6 March 2020 in Vilnius, Lithuania .

HE professionals from all over Europe are invited to register for the event, during which they will have the opportunity to hold lectures for students in a different cultural and academic context, meet the staff of Vilniaus kolegija/UAS and colleagues from different countries.

EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY ASSOCIATION ORGANISES THE 2020 EUROPEAN LEARNING & TEACHING FORUM
The European University Association (EUA) is organising the 2020 European Learning & Teaching Forum ‘Balancing tradition and change’, which will take place at Utrecht University in the Netherlands on 13-14 February 2020 .

Higher education has changed significantly in recent decades, and continues to do so, as the expectations of students, stakeholders and society towards higher education institutions evolve. This process is further influenced by these institutions’ diverse historical, disciplinary and regional backgrounds.

The 2020 European Learning & Teaching Forum will explore how institutions balance tried and trusted practices and innovative approaches to learning and teaching in a dynamic and increasingly digital and international environment.

The deadline for registrations is 29 January 2020 .
