We are in the process of developing our next five-year Educational Master Plan 2022-2027 (EMP). We are hosting a series of visioning sessions and want to ensure that your voice is heard as we examine data to help us assess EVC’s mission, vision, and values and identify and update goals to help us meet them.  If you aren’t sure what an Educational Master Plan and visioning session is, you can watch this video message from me to learn more.

» February is Black History Month - Two More Great Events

» Next Free Drive-Thru Food Distribution is March 4 - RSVP

We have many resources for you to access free food and assistance throughout the spring semester.


The next EVC FRESH Farmer's Market is TODAY, Thursday, February 24, through lunch, at the Central Green.


Drive-thru FREE food distributions are happening on the first and third Fridays of every month. You can click here to RSVP for the next food distribution on Friday, March 4.


You can have access to your very own grocery store on campus, the EVC F.R.E.S.H Pantry located in Gullo 1. The pantry offers items to our students for free.

» Are YOU Interested in Getting Paid to Participate in a Photoshoot for a California Community Colleges Campaign?

This past summer, the California Community College Chancellor’s Office launched the new statewide ICanGoToCollege.com marketing and advertising campaign. The ads run statewide on radio, digital, and streaming television and feature actual California community college students.


Now, they are looking to feature 50 more students across California. All students who participate in this photo shoot will receive a $400 stipend. Please note, students will be required to complete a standard student photo release form and students will be needed for a single day, roughly 1-2 hours.

» March 11 is Deadline to Request Emergency Funds

EVC has received federal and state funds to help you meet your COVID-related expenses.

To be considered for these emergency relief funds,

you must:


  • Be an enrolled regular student at EVC





The deadline to submit the Emergency Grant Application is March 11, 2022. We will begin disbursing awards on March 7, 2022.


Note: Federal Pell Grant eligible students do not need to apply. International students do not need to complete a FAFSA or CADAA. Students whose primary school is not Evergreen do not qualify and should not apply. Do not submit more than one application.

» EVC's Literary Magazine Accepting Poetry or Short Story Submissions

EVC's literary magazine, Leaf By Leaf, is back!


We want your submissions. Submit your poetry or short story to be considered to be published in the magazine.


We are happy to accept up to five pages of poetry and 10 pages of a short story or novel excerpt by March 25.

TEXTBOOKS ON AMAZON FIRE TABLETS

Textbooks are expensive, so to help out, the library carries Amazon Fire Tablets with selected e-textbooks. While we do not carry all textbooks, we have some of the more expensive e-texts. Coming back to campus can be disorienting and although you may have been attending EVC for the last year, you may still be unfamiliar with our campus and services. Free Campus Tutoring Resources through May 27.


CAMPUS TUTORING CENTER

EVC tutors are on campus Monday-Thursday from 9:00AM - 9:00PM and Fridays from 9:00AM - 1:00PM in the Library building, LE-237. Click here to check out the schedule of drop-in hours.


You can connect with non-EVC tutors via NetTutor online tutoring 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for all subjects when EVC tutoring is closed on Canvas. Watch the brief NetTutor YouTube link.


MATH & SCIENCE RESOURCE CENTER (MSRC)

EVC students can access EVC tutors on campus Monday - Thursday from 9:00AM - 6:00PM and Fridays from 9:00AM - 1:00PM in MS-112 (Math, Science, and Social Science Building). We provide tutoring resources and support in Math, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. Click here to check out the schedule of drop-in hours.


In addition, we provide tutors in Microbiology, Anatomy, and Physiology in the Biology Lab, S-219 in the Sequoia building and on Pisces under "Biology." Click here to check out the schedule of drop-in hours.
