OLD FRIENDS REMEMBERS TIMELY WRITER

Join us Monday October 16 to pay tribute to Multiple Graded Stakes Winner Timely Writer who lost his life in a tragic breakdown at Belmont Park in 1982. Due to construction of a new synthetic track at the park, his grave has been exhumed and his remains will now be reinterred in Old Friends’s Nikki Bacharach Memorial Cemetery. (there is no fee to attend this tribute)

Following the tribute will be an Old Friends Fall Fundraiser featuring a lunch of delectable soups, lite fare, and a tasty dessert contest. Fun Old Friends items for sale. Mini farm tours and special guests round out the afternoon.  Gates open at noon.

11:30 am: Memorial Ceremony, Nikki Bacharach Memorial Cemetery

12:00 pm: Fall Fundraiser Events, Josephine Abercrombie Memorial Barn 

Admission for the fundraiser is $40 for adults, 2023 Clubhouse Members $20, Kids 12 and under: Free.
