SOUTH VILLAGE BLOCK PARTY | 121 S INDIAN HILL BLVD
Music, Food, Beer, Crafts, Kids Activities, Design, Art + Culture
Arteco Partners and Village Partners are hosting a free community event called South Village Block Party on Sunday September 15th, 2019 from 3pm-8pm at the historic Vortox building at 121 S. Indian Hill Blvd. The event will showcase local Claremont Artists and Bands, Live Art Demonstration, Food and Beer Garden, Kids Activities, as well as booths from Sustainable Claremont and Claremont Heritage.
To be clear - this event is not connected to the City of Claremont's Specific Plan Initiative for Village South currently being developed by City Planning Staff and consultant Sargent Town Planning. The plan will include recommendations for zoning and a mix of uses.
Arteco Partners and Village Partners were hired by the owners of the Vortox and Hibbard properties to develop a plan that will be subject to the guidelines contained in the Specific Plan once it is approved. This is an opportunity to learn more about the vision they have for Village South and the history of the Vortox manufacturing complex which will be preserved and adaptively reused in accordance with Historic Building Codes with oversight from Claremont Heritage.
The South Village Block Party is an event to bring together the community of Claremont at the
historic Vortox building, the site of the future South Village Neighborhood Mixed-use Development Project.
We invite the community to learn about transit-oriented development and
our project team. In the spirit of transit-oriented development, we encourage everyone to walk, bike, take transit, or carpool to the event. Please join Arteco Partners and Village Partners Inc
on Sunday, September 15th for a day of family fun and arts.
