EXCITING INTERNATIONAL BANKRUPTCY EDUCATION OPPORTUNITY FOR FELLOWS AND THEIR FIRMS

As you may know, for many years now, the College has sponsored a semester long class on international bankruptcy. The class is offered annually during the Spring semester at many law schools. The lecturers include some of the leading international insolvency academics, practitioners and judges in the world, many of whom are College Fellows.

For the 2023 semester, the College is pleased to announce that it is offering all Fellows and their firms the opportunity to audit the course, with a deep discount for firms who sponsor the College through the Patrons and Sponsors program. The classes are presented live (via Zoom) on 13 consecutive Tuesday nights starting January 17, 2023. Each class runs from 6:40 pm ET to 8:20 pm ET. For those who are unable to attend live, recordings of each session are posted within 48 hours of the class. Extensive reference materials are also posted for each class.

The course is divided into three modules. The first module, which is presented over four sessions, provides an in-depth review of Chapter 15. The second module focuses on the EU Regulation. The third module focuses on the insolvency laws of a number of foreign countries, including Canada, Mexico, England & Wales, EU countries, China and Japan.

The cost for a firm to provide this opportunity to its lawyers or professionals, regardless how many persons audit and how many classes they attend, is as follows:

  • Sustaining Patrons and Patrons – No charge
  • Sponsors and Supporters - $250
  • Other firms with fewer than 25 professionals - $500
  • Other firms with 25 or more professionals - $750
