LOVE IN ACTION ...

We had just finished a big kid’s event and all the kids had gone home. As we were cleaning up, two of the girls from the neighborhood came back. One was a little girl who was barefoot and dirty all day. She ran through the mud and the rocks and the filth without any shoes. The night before, I had just washed a pair of white tennis shoes that someone donated. I hadn't planned to give them out that day, but when I saw little Isabel, I felt God tell me to go get the shoes and see if they fit. And they did! She was so excited to have a new pair of shoes. I'm sure those white tennis shoes were black within an hour or so, but it didn't matter. They were meant for her! Her big sister was with her. She kept telling one of our leaders, “I want to learn to read.” So many of the kids that came to the event don't go to school. After 19 years of serving in Tijuana, I still tear up with moments like these.

DAYBREAK CHURCH Mission Trip ...

Daybreak Church from Carlsbad came to serve with us! It was a super day and went just as planned and was fun for all. We were blessed to have one of the pastors, Jason G., and his daughter make this awesome video of the day. Jana, our new rep at Daybreak, trained the youth using the KidStory method to present the story of Jonah. When they threw Jonah out of the boat, he went down the slide! SALMON, IDAHO YOUTH GROUP VISITS US AGAIN!

Our friends from Connections House brought Calvary Chapel from Salmon, Idaho, last week, and they built new bathrooms and a shower at our Fuentes location and a fun kids' event. This high school group drove 25 hours to serve at churches in Tijuana with joy and love! Several of our children asked Jesus into their hearts including a young teen girl who comes to our tutoring club. https://www.facebook.com/ConnectionsRosarito

Jose Luis passed the U.S. Citizenship test!!!


We are waiting for the date for him to take the Oath of Allegiance at the naturalization ceremony - probably in May.


KIDSTORY TRAINING TIJUANA was amazing! 28 people came for this overnight training and all were blessed to the max! Thank you Mary Ann Nuñez and team for equipping the church to share the Bible with love and fun! Check out this short video of their time.

Prayer requests ...


  • Prayers for Mary Ann’s leadership, wisdom, and financial ministry support. She is a tremendous blessing to this ministry.
  • For more ministry teams from the U.S. to come and serve. There are many opportunities such as hosting small events for the children and their families, repairs, and community outreach.
  • For the Lord’s continued provision for this growing ministry - especially our tutoring clubs and lunch kitchens. God is doing great things, and we are trusting Him for provision for these ministries. You can join the team!
  • For peace in this world as we reflect on the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and the redemption of our sins.


We are so thankful for you and blessed that you partner with us as we reach this underdeveloped area of Tijuana. It is my joy to continue serving and seeing God raise the younger generation for His commission.


Ephesians 1:7: He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.
