EXECUTIVE NEWSLETTER WINTER 2020

Winter is here…that must mean we are in Classes!
Welcome to our OLLI at DU Winter 2020 Term. I hope you all enjoyed the holiday season and are now ready to return to lifelong learning with friends and cohorts.
This term, the amazing Curriculum Committees, working with their respective Site Managers, have provided a combined offering of over 200 classes, not counting the very well attended speaker series. I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to every one of our volunteer Curriculum Committee members and volunteer Facilitators who created these wonderful classes.
I hope you enjoy your class and consider, for the future, what topic you might like to share with your fellow OLLI at DU.

Subscribing (or rather unsubscribing) from the various emails you receive from OLLI
|
|
The laws around privacy and phishing continue to grow and evolve. As an organization that takes such laws very seriously, OLLI at DU is committed to aligning to these rules and regulations. As such, we utilize a software provider when sending out our emails.
We strive to send no more than are in the interest of quality communicating. We use this software for all our email distributions, across all sites, including class confirmations.
If you choose to ‘unsubscribe’ from OLLI at DU emails (no matter which site you have received it from), you unsubscribe from ALL OLLI at DU emails sent through this software. And, further, we are not able to re-subscribe you due to the privacy and phishing laws. In fact, the software we use does not even allow us to do so.
I thought it valuable to share this information, so you are aware of the impact of clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of OLLI at DU emails.

OLLI at DU 2025
Development of Diversity Task Force
|
|
An outcome of the OLLI at DU Vision 2025 Task Force was an awareness of a need to address issues of diversity in our organization. For such initiative, I am requesting OLLI members interested in becoming a part of this task force to email me at
[email protected] and advise me of your interest in joining such task force. At this point in time, the commitment required for such task force is unknown. Thank you.
