PLEASE COME AND IMMERSE YOURSELF IN ANOTHER FULL 3 DAYS OF STITCH
This is what Amanda has had to say about this course
"This is a workshop where the outcomes most definitely develop depending on the individual student. You will be exploring and experimenting with both paper and cloth in many different weights and transferring qualities, making relationships and connections between the two, as well as blurring the boundary. Hand stitch and surface will be encouraged interpreting traditional techniques of eyelets, cutwork, couching, trapunto, quilting, Italian quilting and inlay. My collection of old textiles especially my collars will be inspiration for shape, edge weight and right side /wrong side. Paring down to a neutral palette will heighten the surface qualities and tactile senses opening your eyes to new ideas in colour when you return to your personal palette.
I have no idea of your particular journey, just your starting place. But I do know you will enjoy the process of making and taking the next creative step." Amanda Clayton
