Dare to Lead
- a continuing book read
A group of interested folks are reading “Dare To Lead: Brave Work. Tough Conversations. Whole Hearts,” by Brene Brown, a social worker by trade who has spent the past two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy. Brown’s definition of leadership: “…anyone who takes responsibility for finding the potential in people and processes, and who has the courage to develop that potential.”
The group is gathering on Mondays at 11 am and their first gathering will be Monday, March 18
th

The Young Adult Volunteer (YAV) program is an ecumenical, faith-based year of service in sites around the world and across the United States. YAVs accompany local agencies working to address root causes of poverty and reconciliation while exploring the meaning and motivation of their faith in community with peers and mentors.

Beginning May 1st, 2019, the UPDATE will be published at the beginning of each month. Submit information for publication by the 25th of each month to meet the publication deadline.
