July and early August have been spent planning the new program year for EYC with Mother Amanda, and we are excited about the future of EYC even during this time of transition in the leadership position and the uncertainty of COVID variants that are a reality for the foreseeable future. Here are the most important things for your family to know about EYC for the new program year:

  1. EYC will have its first meeting at 5pm on September 18 at 5pm on the church grounds before the PRAYground outdoor worship service. All 6th-12th grade students are invited to this gathering to learn about EYC, set intentions for the year and share time getting to know your peers at church! This gathering will last about an hour and will include a pizza dinner outdoors before the worship service at 6pm. Please attend and get off to a strong new start!
  2. We will have monthly outreach opportunities for our youth to participate in as a group and/or with all of our parish members. Please see details below for upcoming opportunities to put your faith into action by serving others in our community.
  3. EYC members will have opportunities for faith formation in monthly lessons for HS members and MS members that explore our faith and traditions in age appropriate ways for these two groups AND all EYC members will have the opportunity once again to be paired with an older member of our parish for monthly calls to check in with each other and discuss faith and life stories. Please let Amanda or I know if your youth would like to participate in this partnership. If this is not for them, be sure they attend the monthly discussions/lessons for their age group (this will probably be a hybrid of in person and zoom- stay tuned).
We hope to see you on September 19th and at all of the other programs that are detailed below!
