Labor Day Weekend already! Where has the summer gone? Kids are back to school, but there’s plenty of playtime left for everyone, with fun on and off the water during our busy weekends and lots going on the rest of the time, too.

'Float-In' Concert at Shaw Bay, Saturday, September 10
Raft up and relax while listening to the music of the Eastport Oyster Boys featuring The Wye River Band at a floating concert in Shaw Bay on the Wye River. Bring your dinghy, paddle board, kayak, or anything that floats, and raft up in front of the band.

Summer Concert with the Dan Haas Band
Sunday, September 11, 5 p.m.
Dan and his band did such an awesome performance for the Commodore’s Ball back in May, we are bringing him back for some more of his pop-rock music to get you up and moving on the lawn. Table seating will be limited, bring lawn chairs and blankets and plan to arrive early to get a good spot.

Sailing continues locally into the Winter with the beginning of AYC’s frostbite series. Races are held in two series, the first of which runs from November 6 to December 11. Use of our J/22s during the series can be obtained through our Waterfront Access program following a checkout for first time registrants. Availability is limited for boat reservations, so please notify the Waterfront Manager immediately if you intend to register AND have a crew lined up. | |
Our last safe powerboating class of the season is scheduled for September 10, a single day accelerated course that covers US Powerboating Curriculum. Interested parties should sign up via the website, or direct questions to the waterfront manager at waterfront@Eastportyc.org | |
