EYC LEnten journey - How to participate

Holy Week

A handout with information about each day of Holy Week will be available to take home. For each Holy Week service or event youth attend, they will be entered to win a special prize basket!

Winner will be announced on Wednesday, 4/12

(Students must find Tess at the services and say hi to be entered into the drawing)

Maundy Thursday

There will be a youth foot washing station set up and run by Tess for any youth who attend. Please sit in the transept by the Chapel to participate.

Good Friday

Please consider attending either the 10:30 walking stations of the cross or the 5pm children and families stations of the cross. Both are truly moving devotions that allow you to take time out of your family's busy schedule to be with Jesus.

The Great Vigil of Easter

If you have not attended this service in the past, it is a very moving interpretation of our longing and waiting for Jesus's resurrection. It starts in darkness, taking us through God's history of salvation and becomes light as we experience the joy of Easter. It is longer than a normal service but helps us to appreciate

Youth Sunday

Sunday, April 23

If you have a senior graduating from High School, please let Tess know by Sunday, April 16th so that they can be recognized at the service

If any youth want to read or acolyte, please let Tess know so that we can add them to the rotation. All youth are welcome to participate at either service!

VBS 2023

VBS 2023 is July 10-13! (Mon-Thurs)

This year, EYC is offering a chance for youth (graduating 5th grade - HS) to participate in VBS as volunteers and then have fun together in the afternoon!

Participants will volunteer with children'sVBS from 8am until 11:30. After lunch, from 12-2pm we will have daily social activities for youth to relax and bond.

There is no cost for youth to attend but we ask that students bring money for outings which will be announced in advance.

We need adult volunteers to make this happen! Adults can also sign up with the volunteer option and choose

"Afternoon MS/HS activities."

If you need to pick up your middle school youth later than 2pm or need childcare on Friday, you can also sign up for the EDS camp and we will walk them over at 2pm.
