Good afternoon. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are settling into your routine again with comfort and ease. As you may have heard, I had a minor surgery a few days after Christmas. The recovery period was much more difficult than I had anticipated which is why I have been away from church and had to cancel EYC last week. I'm pleased to report that I am feeling much better and returned to work yesterday.

While this setback has temporarily delayed my release of the winter/spring EYC calendar, I am expecting to have it complete by early next week. I'm very excited about the new social events and outreach projects we will be introducing this year. Watch your inbox.

Until then, I wanted to remind everyone that the EYC will meet this Sunday, January 12 at 5:30pm. If you're planning to attend, don't forget to RSVP.

I have also purchased a block of tickets for ice skating at The Rink at Red Hat Amphitheater for the evening of Sunday, January 19. We will gather at the church at 4:30pm, walked down to the amphitheater, skate from 5pm-7pm, and then return to the church by 7:30pm. I have a limited number of tickets so if any member of your family would like to come, get signed up NOW.

Also, don't forget to submit your registration forms for our winter retreat at the Trinity Center. The deadline is February 1. This will be an amazing experience and I don't want anyone to miss it.
