We are so excited to welcome Tangled Blue as our guest musicians and co-facilitators for the Practicing Faith Retreat! Join Tangled Blue, along with Deacon Erin Power for a weekend of exploring the Jesus story, worship, rest, and music making. This is for lay and rostered folks who are looking for a weekend away, or who are curious to explore scripture more deeply, or who want to just be in community.

Synod Devotional Resource
We are excited to share with you a free, synod-wide devotional series! "And You Shall Be My Witnesses: Holy Wisdom and the Church Today" is a resource created specifically with Eastern ND church councils and ministry teams in mind. We invite you to gather as community, read Scripture and the corresponding reflections, and spend time asking yourselves and each other what these sacred texts might have to say to the church today. There is a form available on the synod website to share your reflections with us.

Suicide Prevention Skills for Rural Ministry Course
This is a free course for faith leaders serving in rural contexts sponsored by the MN
Department of Agriculture in partnership with LivingWorks, a suicide prevention training program. Together, with a cohort of other faith leaders, you will learn approaches and skills that equip you for prevention, intervention, and postvention (bereavement) tasks so you can effectively care for people struggling with thoughts of suicide or impacted by suicide. Soul Shop: Ministering to Faith Communities Affected by Suicide
The North Dakota Board for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is excited to announce the upcoming Soul Shop: Ministering to Faith Communities Affected by Suicide, which will take place in two locations in North Dakota. Soul Shop Bismarck will take place on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the Ramada and on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the Courtyard by Marriott of Fargo/Moorhead. Each eight-hour workshop will start at 8:30 am and will go on until 4:30 pm. Download the following documents to learn more.

Cultivating Generous Congregations Cohort
In partnership with the Lake Institute on Faith & Giving, the ELCA is offering congregations the opportunity to reexamine their stewardship thinking and imagine ways to act on their findings in their communities. The six-week webinar “Cultivating Generous Congregations” will offer virtual cohort sessions where congregational leaders can discuss, dissect and collaborate on how generosity might work in their contexts. The webinar series costs $550 per congregation, plus workbooks ($40 each). Webinars will take place from 5-6:30pm CST every Tuesday from April 16-May 21.

The Parish Nurse Ministry Program of Concordia College in Moorhead, MN will be offering the Foundations of Faith Community Nursing course June 3-7, 2024. The course will be held at First Lutheran Church in Fargo, ND. This will be a full week of in-person learning activities as we do not offer a distance learning option. The program is open to licensed registered nurses who are interested in starting a health and healing ministry within a faith community or desiring personal/professional growth in caring for others.
