Joint Theological Day + April 27, 2023

The Eastern North Dakota and Northwestern Minnesota Synods invite all lay and rostered ministers to this year’s Joint Theological Day. It will take place at Sharon Lutheran Church in Grand Forks from 10am – 3pm. Registration is now open.

The Rev. Dr. Shauna Hannan, Professor of Homiletics at PLTS, will be presenting “The Peoples’ Sermon: Revitalizing your Congregation’s Preaching Ministry” based off her recent book. Dr. Hannan describes her presentation in this way: "Preaching is an ecclesial practice that belongs to the whole congregation and not only to the preacher. This workshop aims to equip you to equip all the baptized to fulfill their roles as proclaimers of God’s good news. Understanding and engaging the collaborative nature of preaching holds the potential to revitalize your preaching and your congregation’s participation in this important practice. Participants will leave with concrete possibilities for engaging a collaborative preaching ministry in their own contexts."

You are invited to join Bishop Tessa on a trip to the Holy Land on February 16-25, 2024! Learn more at this website, or download this flyer. We hope you'll consider joining us on this life-impacting journey!
