Selwyn Teacher Assistant of the Year

Congratulations to Mrs. McLean for being named this year's Selwyn Teacher Assistant of the Year. Mrs. McLean is the definition of a true professional and we are so fortunate to have her as a Teacher Assistant (TA) at Selwyn. She arrives to school each day ready to jump in where needed and keeps a smile on her face. She also adapts to the many schedule changes that occur for all TAs. Mrs. McLean looks to find the good in every child at Selwyn and always offers compassion and a helping hand with students who need extra encouragement or help with learning. Students look forward to working with Mrs. McLean as she leads small groups. She offers such care and compassion while also holding students to high expectations for both their learning and their behavior.

Then there is WSEL! We would not have WSEL at our school without Mrs. McLean's expertise and technical knowledge. WSEL requires her to work many hours outside of the school day to prepare scripts, make schedules and connect with the cast. WSEL is a special opportunity for both the 5th graders and the rest of Selwyn and we are grateful for Mrs. McLean's commitment to making this happen!

Her smile, optimism and devotion to bettering the lives of our students are just a few reasons why Mrs. McLean was voted as Selwyn's TA of the year. She always finds time to check in with everyone, no matter how much is on her plate. We thank her for all she does for the students and staff at Selwyn.
Lost and Found Update

Just a heads up before spring makes you forget about coats...Lost and Found has grown to almost two full racks! If your child is missing a sweatshirt, coat or sweater, please have them check the Lost and Found at Selwyn. Putting your child's name in things assures that we get it back to them, even if they do not check the Lost and Found. All remaining coats, etc. will be donated over Spring Break.
Selwyn Volunteer Opportunities!

Please sign up to volunteer to help with morning carpool or lunch.
