Eagle Enduro & Boneyard Brawl Postponed Due to Air Quality

TONIGHT'S EAGLE ENDURO AND BONEYARD BRAWL MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE POSTPONED DUE TO POOR AIR QUALITY

(Vail, Colo.) - Due to unhealthy air quality caused by wildfire smoke across the western U.S., the Vail Recreation District has made the difficult decision to postpone tonight's Eagle Enduro & Boneyard Brawl Mountain Bike Race, originally scheduled for Wednesday, June 24, starting at 4:45 p.m. in Eagle. The race has been rescheduled for next Wednesday, July 1, at the same time and location.

This decision was made with the health and safety of racers, volunteers and staff as the top priority. Current readings on PurpleAir.com indicate that air quality in Eagle remains in the red category, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) holding steady above 150. At these levels, air pollution can affect the general public and may pose more significant health risks to sensitive groups.

Because strenuous exercise such as mountain bike racing can worsen health effects, race organizers determined that postponing the race is the safest course of action at this time.

If you have already registered but cannot attend the rescheduled July 1 race, please email VRD Sports at sports@vailrec.com or call 970-479-2280 for a race transfer or refund.

Should anything change regarding the status of the July 1 race, participants will be emailed, and updates will be posted at vailrec.com and on the Vail Rec District's Facebook and Instagram pages.
