New Scholarship Funds Established
We are happy to announce two new scholarships that have been established at Bishop Watterson. The Donald Fracasso Scholarship fund and The Nina and Edward Porter (’98) Family Band Scholarship.
The Donald Fracasso Scholarship Fund has been established to celebrate the memory of Don Fracasso, a beloved member of the Bishop Watterson family. The Fund will directly benefit the BWHS annual Italian Exchange Program, by which students from Florence, Italy are hosted by the BWHS community in the fall, and BWHS students are hosted by Italian families in the spring. Although Mr. Fracasso was never able to visit his beloved Italy, future BWHS students will be blessed with that opportunity.
The Nina and Edward Porter (’98) Family Band Scholarship has been established by alumnus Edward Porter ’98. The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage participation in the Bishop Watterson Marching Band and Concert Band Programs.
You can contribute to the Donald Fracasso Scholarship Fund or The Nina and Edward Porter Family Band Scholarship by mailing in a check or clicking the link below.
2019 Performing & Visual Arts Hall of Fame
Bishop Watterson High School is proud to announce its new Performing and Visual Arts Hall of Fame. The program was created to celebrate and honor the accomplishments of outstanding alumni, staff and community members who have excelled in the arts. It was also established to inspire current students to make contributions to the arts by reconnecting those selected for the hall of fame with our students, staff and community.
Candidates for the Performing and Visual Arts Hall of Fame can be nominated in one of four categories: Creators, Performers, Practitioners, and Contributors.
Anyone wishing to nominate someone for consideration is asked to click on the button below and complete the application which will be evaluated by a selection committee. Completed applications must be received by February 28, 2019. Selected candidates will be chosen by March 6, 2019. Honorees will be inducted into the Performing and Visual Arts Hall of Fame during the Spring musical's opening weekend (April 6, 2019).

In Service to Others
The Alumni Department provides service at  St. Lawrence Haven  on the second Wednesday of each month, preparing and packaging meals for the daily lunch line. We normally volunteer from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
St. Lawrence Haven is a St. Vincent de Paul-run sack lunch program, located behind Holy Cross Church at the corner of Rich and Main streets downtown.
Approximately 300-500 meals are served each day. The staff at St. Lawrence Haven is very appreciative of the assistance we provide and we are thankful for the alumni and friends who have taken time out of their busy schedules to help with this service endeavor!
If you are interested in helping, please email Terri Kernan at tkernan@cdeducation.org.
We would love to have you join us!
Did you order a yearbook and forget to pick it up? We have several 2017 yearbooks that have not been picked up.
Please email Terri Kernan at tkernan@cdeducation.org to make arrangements to pick up your yearbook.
In addition, we have several other unclaimed yearbooks from years past.
Please contact us if you are missing yours or you would like to purchase one.
